Rehab
Rehabilitation in physiotherapy, often referred to as rehab, is a comprehensive and personalised approach to restoring and optimising physical function and mobility in individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or surgery. Physiotherapists work closely with patients to assess their condition and develop tailored treatment plans that address specific impairments, pain, or movement limitations. These plans typically include a combination of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities such as heat or cold therapy, and patient education. The primary goal of rehab is to enhance the patient’s overall well-being, alleviate pain, and promote the recovery of strength, flexibility, and endurance. By empowering patients with the knowledge and tools to manage their condition, physiotherapy rehab helps individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Post OP
It is often the case that people do not get the care that they need prior to, or following on from surgery, which can limit their progress and make getting up and about more difficult.
Our team of Physiotherapists work closely with some of the local knee and hip surgeons, working with you through your Prehab and Rehab, following on from your operation. They will tailor the treatment plan to your specific requirements, and if necessary give you advice on other treatments such as Pilates and Nutritional therapy, that can act to increase your recovery speed.
We are covered by many of the major insurance companies so just call us and check prior to booking in for your appointment.
